Could you be the full-time onsite Proposal Engineerin West Mifflin, PA, US we're looking for?

As a Proposal Engineer, you will be providing engineering support services for the development of technical proposals including scope, budget, and delivery strategy. You will need to bring your customer-oriented approach and become familiar with our requirements to define our risks and assumptions for estimating the job.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:



  • Performing technical exchanges with tender team members
  • Reviewing, analyzing customer technical requirements
  • Collaborating with the tender team and ensures engineering internal interfaces are properly addressed
  • Gathering supporting documentation to improve competitive aspects of our proposal
  • Identifying gaps versus standard product reference solution
  • Creating a list of technical risks and assist with the development of mitigation strategies
  • Developing best compromise to address the gaps (QCD) (Mechanical, Functional Architecture)
  • Assisting with the project schedule development
  • Preparing tender review packages
  • Delivering Rolling Stock technical documentation for tender submission to customer



You will be joining this team as an integral member, helping to drive a pipeline of profitable business globally. To be successful, you will need to bring a strong engineering skillset, along with exceptional attention to detail, and well-developed collaboration and partnership experience. This is a position where you will be continuously learning, and your curiosity will suit you well.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Minimum 8-10 years of professional experience in design or related project engineering focus

  • Experience in the Transportation/Rail (APM) industry is preferred; candidates with relevant project engineering experience from other industries will also be considered.

  • Knowledge of the products architecture, operation, and performances
  • Knowledge on Engineering development DFQ sequences
  • Understanding of tender process and key players role
  • Engineering costing knowledge
  • Collaborative with good communication and relationship building skills
