Candidates must be able to work on site 3 days/week in downtown Washington, DC.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support for end users and internal systems. This role will be responsible for coordinating hardware and software needs, administering support requests, and ensuring employees have the tools and guidance needed to work efficiently and securely. The position also plays a key role in asset tracking, user communications, and promoting best practices across the organization.

Core Responsibilities:



  • Evaluate and coordinate the purchase of IT hardware and related equipment
  • Facilitate employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and recovering devices and access
  • Support and maintain user accounts and device management within Active Directory and Microsoft Intune
  • Partner with infrastructure team members to manage directory services, including user and computer accounts
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration, including license assignment, user/group management, and shared resources
  • Oversee incoming support requests, ensuring timely resolution and strong service delivery
  • Contribute to security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and reporting
  • Ensure conference rooms and collaboration technology are functional and ready for use
  • Troubleshoot and support end-user hardware such as laptops, mobile devices, monitors, and printers
  • Provide technical support for organizational events and large meetings as needed
  • Help maintain and improve IT policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Participate in occasional after-hours support for upgrades, maintenance, or urgent issues
  • Support additional IT initiatives as assigned


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service excellence
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments


Work Environment & Travel:
This is a hybrid role with periodic travel required to support events or conferences.
