ChristianaCare's Cardiology Consultants Administration at Avenue North, Wilmington DE is looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Surgical Scheduler II with strong organizational skills who can work independently and is task-oriented.

Cardiology Consultants is located at 400 Nexus Drive, Wilmington DEand provides specialized care in virtually all aspects of cardiology. They work as a team to give our patients the best cardiac care possible. They are dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of our patients particular problems and also their personal comfort and wellbeing.

The Surgical Scheduler II schedules procedures, in collaboration with providers and surgical block time, assuring the availability and proper utilization of resources including time, equipment, and personnel. Prior experience in surgical scheduling or experience in Medical Assisting, preferred.

Work Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays: 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Flexibility to work a future rotational shift, from 7:30am -4:00pm

  • No weekend or holidays

Duties / Responsibilities;

  • Schedule all surgical and imaging procedures for Surgical Services.

  • Obtain all necessary insurance carrier referrals and/or authorizations.

  • Provide non-clinical preoperative instructions and directions.

  • Place Surgical reminder calls.

  • Maintain tracking system to ensure completion of all necessary preoperative clearances and testing.

  • Interact with physicians, physician's offices, various Christiana Care departments, patients, and patient's family on a daily basis.

  • Demonstrate compliance with Christiana Care and departmental policies and procedures and mandatory education requirements including but not limited to safety, infection control, attendance, and dress code.

  • Performs other related clerical duties as required.

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum of three years related medical office experience with knowledge of computer scheduling for multiple providers.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.03 - $31.54 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
