Job Title: Retail Store Clerk Location: Haltom City, TX Work hour: 11:00am - 7:30pm. (5 days per week, 40 hours total, including weekends and holidays) Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire A well-established bookstore is seeking a Full-Time Store Clerk who is passionate about comic books and anime. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer interaction and has a love for books, comics, manga, and graphic novels. This role has a planned start date of July 2026 (approximately 3 months from now) due to business expansion and an upcoming store launch. However, candidates who are available to commute to a training location within a 30-mile radius of the store may have the opportunity to begin working earlier through a paid training assignment. Responsibilities: Ensure all store procedure is correctly handing based on company operation standards. Secure a consistent, seamless, and positive customer experience.
Perform register sales transactions quickly and accurately with established cash control procedures.
Provide support to fellow employees through sharing of knowledge, helping to complete tasks and/or assisting in customer interactions.
Resolve customer concerns with customer satisfaction in mind and escalate any issue to store manager.
Develop and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
Open and close the store, ensuring the safety of employees and customers.
Other duties assigned. Qualifications: Previous retail experience required, including handling merchandise and inventory Strong interest and passion for Comics, Books, anime, manga or stationery.
