STS Line Maintenance is hiring A&P Mechanics in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a hands-on line maintenance role supporting Airbus aircraft operations in a fast-paced airport environment. If you are experienced, tool-ready, and know how to keep aircraft moving safely and efficiently, this is where you step in.


Position Overview

The A&P Maintenance Technician supports the daily maintenance operations of airline customers while ensuring aircraft are maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

This position works closely with the Station Manager, airlines, flight crews, and Maintenance Control to keep aircraft airworthy and on schedule.


Schedule

  • 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts
  • Typical shifts include:

    • 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
    • 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on transport category aircraft
  • Ensure all work meets FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, company policies, and best practices
  • Work in coordination with Station Managers, airlines, flight crews, and Maintenance Controllers
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components using approved technical documentation
  • Utilize precision tools and test equipment to measure wear and determine serviceability
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and records
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and operational integrity
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations
  • Work outdoors and in varying weather conditions

Aircraft Supported:

  • Airbus A319, A320, and A321

Qualifications

  • Must hold a current FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with no history of infractions
  • Must own a standard set of line maintenance tools (calibrated and specialty tooling provided)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, climb ladders and stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pass background check, drug and alcohol screening, and obtain Customs and Border Protection clearance
  • Basic to mid-level computer and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation
  • Strong troubleshooting ability across electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication skills and commitment to quality and customer service
