About the role:

As a Vice President, Enterprise Risk Management, you will create enterprise frameworks, metrics, and reporting standards, while also driving a culture of risk ownership and autonomy with leaders across the business. The role of VP, ERM will be strategic in nature and data driven. Areas of focus will include risk assessment of the entire organization. Evaluating risk mitigation strategies and defining processes for monitoring and reporting on risks are also important aspects. These efforts will help us look ahead at new issues as it continues to grow. Data-driven decision-making will be an important aspect of the role, to not only monitor what has occurred but to also anticipate trends and future challenges. You will "think outside the box" of traditional risk management to lead risk awareness across the organization and build an model for integrated risk management at Westinghouse. You will report to the CFO and serve as an important member of the finance leadership team. This is a 100% remote role. The role and our global customers require international and domestic travel to support their needs.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify enterprise-wide risks, exposures and development of risk management processes.



  • Develop and propose risk mitigation strategies based on company known and unknown risks. Work with Internal Audit to establish a process for auditing effectiveness of established mitigations.



  • Clarify and confirm our risk appetite with the executive team and enhance the risk awareness and risk management culture across all parts of the organization with responsibility for managing risk.



  • Establish criteria for the level of risk that the Company is willing to assume, and to the extent possible, quantifying such risks for leadership discussion



  • Summarize risk information from different sources and identify important themes and messages. Build and communicate a culture of risk awareness and management within the company.



  • Establish and lead a company-wide Enterprise Risk Management committee to maintain visibility and agreement on risk appetites, strategies and mitigations.



  • Perform regular Risk Assessments, analyzing current risks and identifying potential future risks.



  • Develop Risk Metrics and track data that help our company interpret and understand our risks. Oversee the preparation of important reports and communications and present to governance committees, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors.



  • Build and manage a team of risk professionals through recruitment, training, performance management and related managerial activities.





Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree preferred.



  • 15+ years of in an enterprise risk management role



  • 10+ years of people leadership experience managing teams.



  • 5+ years' experience developing and operating an enterprise risk management program in a public/large private company



  • Guide positive impact across a large-scale operating company.



  • Experience with a growth organization focused on culture and engagement



  • Experience leading large-scale projects with heavy change management requirements





We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $230,000 to $287,500 per year. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
