Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join the Molecular Assessment and Profiling group within BioMedicine Design at Client. In this role, you will contribute to the selection of high-quality biotherapeutics candidates by providing in-depth physicochemical, thermal and colloidal stability assessments for a wide range of biotherapeutic modalities using a suite of established biophysical and analytical methods. This position offers opportunities for scientific growth, hands-on technical development, and increasing responsibility. Your work will have a meaningful impact on advancing biotherapeutic programs from early discovery toward development.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently perform physicochemical, thermal, and colloidal stability assessment of biotherapeutic candidates using a suite of established assays
  • Critically analyze and interpret experimental data to support selection of lead biotherapeutic molecules.
  • Contribute to improvement activities aimed at increasing efficiency and throughput within the group.
  • Accurately document experimental procedures, results, and analyses in electronic notebook



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS with 5+ years or MS with 3+ years of relevant experience in biochemistry, biophysics or related discipline.
  • Good understanding of protein biochemistry and stability
  • Familiar with various protein characterization methods and analytical biochemistry techniques such as aSEC, DSC, CGE, cIEF and DLS
  • Strong attention to details (analytical-minded) with the ability to multitask efficiently.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior experience in therapeutic protein discovery and biochemistry research
  • Knowledgeable with automation
