Position: Purchasing Associate

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Pay: Up to $33/hour

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Associate to manage supplier relationships, subcontract administration, and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for overseeing RFQs, cost analysis, negotiations, and purchase order management to support program and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage all aspects of procurement and subcontract administration, including fixed-price and cost-reimbursable agreements.
  • Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and Oracle system requirements to support purchasing decisions.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs, RFPs, and RFIs, and perform detailed cost and price analysis.
  • Lead supplier negotiations, including pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Create, place, and manage purchase orders, ensuring supplier compliance and on-time delivery.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between suppliers, internal teams, and program stakeholders.
  • Resolve quality, design, and payment issues with subcontractors.
  • Support source selection processes, supplier reviews, and procurement compliance standards.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with lead times, budgets, and program schedules.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
  • Experience with procurement processes, MRP systems, and supplier management.
  • Strong skills in cost analysis, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Oracle and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (domestic and international).
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
