Job Title: Multimedia Journalist- hybrid Description Employment Status:Full time Shift:Day (United States of America) Facility:213 McClanahan St SW - Roanoke CP07 Carilion Medical Center. Requisition Number:R159112 Multimedia Journalist- hybrid (Open) How You'll Help Transform Healthcare:This is a hybrid position with a few days in the office needed each week. HOURS: Primarily Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with other hours as needed. The Multimedia Journalist supports Carilion Clinic's mission by creating compelling, accurate and engaging multimedia content that tells the story of Carilion Clinic's people, patients, providers, research and community impact. This role blends journalistic storytelling with brand-forward marketing communications, producing content across video, audio, photography, and digital platforms to support internal and external brand, marketing and communications goals. Work is fast-paced and requires frequent collaboration across the Marketing & Communications team.
What We Require: Education: A bachelor's degree is required. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required. Completion of a master's degree in a related field, combined with relevant experience, may be used in lieu of the experience requirement. Licensure/Certification: None required. Life Support: Not applicable. Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities. Requires strong analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
