Performing Loan Consultant *Onsite - Tempe, AZ (5 days/week)*
*Employment Type:* Fulltime *Experience Level:* Entry Level Position Overview The Performing Loan Consultant provides highquality customer service in a fastpaced call center environment. This role supports homeowners who are past due on their mortgage by identifying the reason for delinquency and developing practical, customized payment solutions to help bring accounts current. Consultants also handle inbound servicing inquiries, process payments, and refer eligible customers to refinancing teams when appropriate. This position is ideal for individuals who are customerfocused, professional, and comfortable handling sensitive financial conversations over the phone. Key Responsibilities * Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a call center environment * Speak with homeowners regarding pastdue mortgage accounts and identify root causes of delinquency * Develop and set up customized payment arrangements to resolve delinquent accounts * Assist inbound callers with general mortgage servicing questions, including escrow, website assistance, and payoff requests * Process mortgage payments accurately and efficiently * Identify and refer eligible customers for refinancing opportunities when applicable * Document all customer interactions thoroughly and accurately * Meet individual and team performance metrics * Adhere to compliance standards, company policies, and industry regulations * Represent the organization professionally while delivering excellent customer service * Participate in ongoing training and development * Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Education & Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required * College degree preferred * 1+ year of collections, call center, or customer service experience preferred (not required) Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong customer service and telephone communication skills * English fluency (Spanish or bilingual skills are a plus) * Ability to negotiate and problemsolve with professionalism and empathy * Comfort speaking with customers of varying personalities and emotional states * Strong reasoning, research, and attentiontodetail skills * Ability to handle confidential customer information responsibly * Selfmotivated with the ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision * Excellent keyboarding and documentation skills * Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) * Familiarity with internetbased research tools (skiptracing experience a plus) Preferred (Nice to Have) * Call center or financial services experience * Mortgage servicing or collections exposure * Sales or referralbased experience Core Skills * Customer Service * Call Center Operations * Microsoft Office * Financial Services * Mortgage Servicing * Collections / Account Resolution *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
