Network Automation Engineer (Network to Code / Hybrid Cloud) Location: Buffalo or Rochester, NY (OnSite / Hybrid) Level: Expert Level About the Role We are seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to help modernize and automate our enterprise onprem network infrastructure and support integration into Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on networktocode, infrastructure automation, and application modernization in a hybrid environment. This position is ideal for someone who is handson with Pythondriven automation, understands enterprise networking at scale, and has experience automating network, firewall, and loadbalancing platforms. Key Responsibilities * Design, build, and maintain networktocode automation using Nautobot as the Source of Truth * Automate network builds and lifecycle management using Python, Ansible, and Terraform * Engineer and automate Cisco and Arista routing and switching environments * Automate and manage enterprise security platforms: * Check Point Firewalls * Palo Alto Firewalls * Engineer and automate F5 BIGIP load balancing * Support onprem to Azure hybrid networking and connectivity * Partner with application teams to retrofit and modernize legacy applications * Establish automation standards, documentation, and Gitbased workflows Required Qualifications * 7+ years of experience in enterprise networking or infrastructure engineering * Strong handson experience with network automation / infrastructure as code * Proficiency in: * Python * Ansible * Terraform * Experience with Cisco and Arista network platforms * Experience supporting or automating: * Firewalls (Check Point, Palo Alto) * Load balancers (F5 BIGIP) * Experience working in onprem enterprise environments * Familiarity with hybrid cloud networking and Microsoft Azure integration Nice to Have * Nautobot Jobs and data modeling experience * CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation * Azure networking (ExpressRoute, VPN, hybrid design) * Experience in large enterprise or regulated environments * Opensource or GitHub automation projects Why Join Us * Real networktocode adoption (not just buzzwords) * Ownership of automation design and architecture * Enterprisescale environment with modern tooling * Longterm hybrid cloud and modernization initiative Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Buffalo, NY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.99 - $74.98/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
