We are seeking a seasoned healthcare change agent to help incubate GMR's population health future. The successful candidate will possess a unique blend of public health and payor expertise, strategic business acumen and technical depth to guide execution of 0 to 1 development. In this newly created role, the Associate Vice President, Strategic Services will focus on evolving GMR's 911 Nurse Navigation service into America's foremost unified access point for unscheduled care - building pathways to virtual care, behavioral health, and social service resources. Working across the organization - from the CSuite to 911 Nurse Navigators and provider partners - the AVP, Strategic Services will continuously evolve GMR's scope of services to better meet each 911 caller's care needs and improve longitudinal outcomes. This role can help redefine how GMR is valued and reimbursed - expanding from transportation into healthcare and reshaping what people expect when dialing 911. The successful candidate will be inspired by that mission and undaunted by the years of effort needed to achieve it.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate this expanded vision for 911 Nurse Navigation into executable care pathways, operational workflows, and service models that can efficiently scale across markets
  • Collaborate to conceive, negotiate, and close contracts with healthcare providers and tech partners enabling secure data sharing, interoperability, and care coordination
  • Partner crossfunctionally to effectively integrate new services into GMR operations balancing clinical practice, compliance, risk, and innovation to drive meaningful impact
  • Measure, learn, and iterate, using data, frontline feedback, and patient outcomes to continuously improve access models and demonstrate population health value

Qualifications:
Education & Industry Experience

  • 10+ years of experience as a change agent in healthcare
  • Experience designing closed-loop referral models, ideally in all 3 domains of health, behavioral, and social needs including post-install governance and optimization
  • Practical understanding of ACO/risk-based models and deep MA/MCO familiarity including network strategy, population management, and quality incentives
  • Skills in sourcing and contracting ADT feeds and interop networks (direct or via aggregators) translating GMR's care events into actionable work queues for partners
  • Proven capability to translate strategic vision into executable pilots including rapid iteration and learning loops enabling operations to then fully scale it (0 to 1 work)
  • Effective communication at every level - within teams, to partners, to executives
  • A strong bias towards positive collaboration and a posture of extreme ownership
