DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Administrative Assistant 1 provides comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the County Program Administrator, helping ensure the efficient daily operation of the office. The position manages scheduling, coordinates correspondence, organizes meetings, and supports reporting and documentation requirements. This position also performs receptionist duties, manages incoming and outgoing communications, distributes mail, and assists with behavioral health reporting and data entry.
This role serves as a key liaison between the Administrator's Office, County leadership, state agencies, provider organizations, and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include coordinating Advisory Board meetings and public notices, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining personnel and policy records, supporting internal human resources functions, and assisting with annual provider contracts and provider-funded personnel processes. This position requires strong organization, communication, and confidentiality while independently managing multiple administrative priorities. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
- any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.
