Shift:PRN. Must work at least one 12-hour shift every three weeks. Clinic is open 7 days per week, 8:00 am - 7:30 pm.

Learn more about living in mid-Missouri. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION Initial assessment and triage ofpatients whopresent to Mizzou Urgent Care. Monitor physiological conditions of patients and givetimelynotification to physicianregardingchanges in patient status. Prepare patients and equipment/supplies for procedures. Provide nursing care to patients according to departmental and critical care nursing standards. Assistsphysician during procedures. Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients. Initiates intravenoustherapy asindicated, utilizing aseptictechniquewithappropriate IVcatheterand fluid.Ensuresthat medication is labeled appropriately. Advocate for the patient at all stages of thecarecontinuum. Educate patients and families about the patient's illness, their care, and treatment plan. Participate in life-saving measures and aid in transfer of patients via EMS. May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in departmentdocuments. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. Whenprimarystate of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new stateof residency within thirty (30) days. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS One (1) year of nursing experience in acute care, urgent care, or emergency roomsetting. Additionallicense/certification requirements asdeterminedby the hiringdepartment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be metwith or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physicaldemands is an essential function of the job. This position isvery activeandrequires ambulating, reaching, and moving objects weighing up to and over 20lbs. This role also routinelycomes into contact withpatients who may havecontagious illnesses. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work duringinclement weather will berequired.
