Payroll and Payroll Tax Administrator

Location: Remote

Hiring Range: This position's hiring range is anticipated to be between $64,000 and $69,000 annually, depending on experience, plus great benefits!

Position Summary: Responsible forreconciliation of various payrolldataenteredinto theWorkdaypayrollsystemto ensureaccurateand timelypayroll processing.Review of time entered to ensure compliance with company policiesincludingbut not limited toenteringemployee data,reviewingtime data,and proposed payroll output.SupportstheSeniorManager of Payrollin the operation, maintenance and management of allWorkdaypayroll-related systems and solutionsincluding working withthe payroll processorOneSourceVirtual (OSV)on payroll and payroll tax related matters.Responsible forreviewingandupdatingstate and local payroll taxesand management of state unemploymentaccount management.Manage payroll taxes assigned to workers when address changes occur.Review and process notices received from Federal,Stateand localagencies related to payroll taxes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Data entry in support of the corepayroll systemasneeded to ensureappropriate entryof time,earnings,deductionsand taxes.

• Work with theSeniorManager of Payrollto change data, build custom reports,validatedatachanges,and communicate changes to othersimpactedby said changes inpayrollor across the organization.

• Act as a support member for theWorkday payrollsystemas it relates to payroll processing.

• Work withSeniorManager of Payroll tocreate procedures forthe handling ofpayrollissues and processes that canimpactpayroll and payrollreporting.

• Monitor payroll taxes in federal and allapplicable states to ensure enrollment andtimelyfiling/payment including updatingtax rates as they change throughout the year.

• Review and update state and local payroll taxinformationon Workdayfor company and employee reporting.

• Communicate with various levels of staff to ensuretimelyentry,submissionand approval of timecards.

• Ensure all time issubmittedand approvedfor payrollby deadline and ensure payroll is audited before final.

• Ensure payroll isprocessed foreach periodby the deadline.

• Review payroll deduction records to ensure proper deductionsaretaken.

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of5yearsofpayroll processing and payroll tax administration.

• Experiencewiththe Workdaypayrollsystem.

• Knowledge ofstate payroll tax regulations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong software skills includingOffice 365 andExcel.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to see and sort a variety of printed and online information.

• Ability to work at a computer and/or on the phone for extended periods of time with repetitive typing,armand hand motion.

• Ability to workadditionalhours, including evenings,weekendsand holidaysoccasionally as needed tomeet payroll deadlines.
