Job Description:

  • The Adult Autism Waiver (AAW) Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and administering programs under the Bureau of Services for Autism and Special Populations (BSASP).
  • This role ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations, policies, and procedures, and supports the goals and initiatives of the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP).
  • The Coordinator leads program activities, manages workflow, monitors provider compliance, and supports data collection and reporting activities.


Required Skills:

  • Serve as a member of the AAW Central Region Team, coordinating program activities and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Lead program efforts related to Information Technology systems (HCSIS, PROMISe, ECM), including participation in design and implementation meetings, document review, testing, troubleshooting, and providing feedback.
  • Manage workflow to ensure timely completion of projects and work items, including follow-up with other agencies and staff.
  • Maintain data integrity of historical records and assist in developing new tracking methods as technology evolves.
  • Conduct Quality Assessment and Improvement (QA/I) monitoring reviews for community programs, services, and supports to ensure participant needs are met.
  • Conduct annual Provider Requalification reviews and support provider enrollment/initial qualifications, including reviewing application materials, monitoring timelines, maintaining records, and providing technical assistance.
  • Track AAW program priorities and ensure deadlines for federal reporting are met.
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze information to assess compliance with contractual, regulatory, and departmental standards.
  • Maintain statistical data and prepare periodic internal and annual reports.
  • Represent ODP at meetings, conferences, advisory boards, workgroups, and advocacy organizations. Accurately report community and participant concerns to leadership.
  • Respond to inquiries from stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a public or private human service program with administrative responsibilities, including case management, service delivery, data collection, or program monitoring/quality assurance.
  • Experience with HCSIS is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including experience with email, word processing, database systems, and public speaking.
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize competing demands and deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in geographically dispersed teams, both as a leader and participant.
