Summary

  • Provide flight test expertise to include briefing, conducting simulator/training device/live flight events, debriefing, and conducting a critique of the flight test event to include completing documentation of performance, as Sensor Operator.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be able to generate effective oral and written presentations and proposals on complex subjects.

  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts, prices, commissions, and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.

  • Must occasionally perform ancillary job and contract related tasks to support instructional program, i.e. scheduling, standardization or flight safety tasks.

  • Perform occasional travel in support of the project. (<5%)

  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Previous experience as an MQ-9 Sensor Operator (Air Force Specialty Code "K" prefix) or with equal documentation supporting instructor Sensor Operator experience in a non-Air Force MQ-9 test program.

  • 1,000 hours total flying time (not including student time) of which 100 hours are in the Primary Aircraft of Instruction (PAI) (not including "other" time); 500 hours total flying time (not including Student pilot time) of which 200 hours are in the PAI (not including "other" time).

  • Rated military Sensor Operator (Form 8).

  • MQ-1 or MQ-9 pilot time counts toward fulfilling the 1,000/500 flying hour requirements.

  • Must meet specific educational and experience levels, including flight hours, instructor credentials and aircraft time as specified in the contract upon which employed.

  • Qualified in an MDS within the previous 3 years

  • Previous formal program developmental test experience is required.

  • Meet job description requirements defined in SCA Directory of Occupations for "Flight Simulator/Instructor (Pilot) although may fill other than a pilot aircrew position.

  • Must understand security and safety guidelines applicable to the contract.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must be able to read, write and speak English as specified in the contract upon which employed.

  • Must meet FAA license and/or medical certificate requirements if specified in the contract.

  • Pass and maintain an annual FAA Class II physical IAW AFI 10-220

  • All Sensor Operator candidates shall meet AFI 11-2 MQ-9, Volume 1, Chapter 2 Sensor Operator Qualifications prior to certification as an MQ-9 SO

  • Maintain flexible work schedule.

Preferred Skills

  • Detail oriented.

  • An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and perspectives from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable.

  • MQ-9 SO instructor experience is highly desired

  • The ability to work as a team to accomplish objectives

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

  • Duties performed in an office environment and government facility.

  • Must be able to work overtime on and off-shifts as required.

  • The employee is on call 24x7 for the resolution of problems and issues.

  • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information
