Overview

KYC Operations provides client-related operational services across the Global Markets (FIC) and Corporate Investment Banking global client base, supporting client business, managing Client Lifecycle risk, and maintaining data standards within the firm. KYC Operations plays an integral role in the firm's first line of defense against financial crime while ensuring client relationships are onboarded and maintained efficiently and accurately. The Know Your Client Desk Relationship Manager (KYC Desk RM) leads the KYC Desk function and manages the client lifecycle through onboarding activities using the New Client Adoption (NCA) framework, working closely with global FIC teams to ensure handoffs, dependencies, and onboarding objectives for US-managed clients are met.

What You'll Do

  • You will manage the end-to-end client onboarding lifecycle, ensuring client, business, and KYC requirements are supported and communicated while proactively identifying and resolving AML, financial, market, and operational risks.

  • You will collaborate with Credit and Legal teams to support client negotiations and ensure onboarding activities align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

  • You will work directly with the business and their clients to support structured finance deals.

  • You will produce and analyze key metrics and reporting related to performance, risk quantification, and resource capacity to improve efficiency and turnaround times.

  • You will provide subject matter expertise to address production blockers, assess risk across different client and entity types, and interpret new or existing regulatory and KYC requirements.

  • You will build and maintain strong relationships with KYC Operations leadership, Lines of Business, Operations, Audit, Compliance, and Technology while driving continuous improvement and ensuring timely oversight of FIC Periodic Review files.

Skills You'll Need

  • Managerial or leadership experience within a bank's Technology, Operations, Strategy, or Front Office functions; experience leading KYC teams is advantageous.

  • Relevant experience with client onboarding processes and requirements within a financial services environment.

  • Strong understanding of KYC, Financial Crime Control (FCC), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), and other regulatory requirements related to financial products.

  • Deep understanding of the regulatory environment impacting global financial services firms.

  • Ability to manage and monitor detailed metrics, financials, risks, and operational issues while driving performance improvements.

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, solve problems, work effectively in global matrix teams, and share knowledge; a degree or equivalent experience required, with additional languages considered an advantage.

Expectations

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in New York City is $65,000 to $118,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
