Under general supervision of the Nuclear Medicine Coordinator, and in accordance with guidelines, assists physicians in the diagnosis of disease by performing nuclear medicine testing which produces images of patient organs and circulating systems through the use of radiopharmaceuticals. Calibrates equipment and closely follows radiation safety guidelines to ensure quality control and limited radiation exposure to patient, self and work area. Performs related clerical and service duties. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.I. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Experience/Skills: Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents. III.
