Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Program Manager plays a key role in supporting Engineering, Design, and Operations to successfully deliver fire protection projects and/or programs. This role oversees the coordination of multiple related programs, ensuring strategic alignment, operational efficiency, and consistent delivery of highquality results.

Responsibilities

    Project & Program Execution
  • Develop and maintain project and/or program clarity of scope, timelines, risks, and interdependencies.
  • Set up projects in the project database, assign tasks, take notes, and prepare documentation needed for invoicing.
  • Assist with budget tracking, change order management, quality compliance, and updates to project management tools/software.
  • Complete tasks and deliverables based on customer schedules and within tight project time frames on multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet technical, regulatory, and quality standards specific to fire protection systems.
  • Coordinate effective meetings by preparing necessary information, listening actively, capturing accurate notes, and communicating issues or action items promptly.
  • Provide excellent internal and external customer service support.
  • Financial & Billing Coordination
  • Understand and communicate customer billing requirements to the Finance team.
  • Provide invoicing support related to project milestones, work completed, and documentation requirements.
  • Risk, Issue & Change Management
  • Identify program-level and project-level risks, issues, and constraints; develop mitigation or resolution plans.
  • Monitor dependencies across teams and projects to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support change management activities, including updates to documentation, processes, and communication plans.


Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of project or program management experience, preferably within engineering, construction, or fire protection environments.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills.
  • Proficiency with project/program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or related).
  • Experience working in fastpaced, crossfunctional technical environments.
  • Familiarity with budgeting, change order management, and operational planning.

The pay range for this position is $85,000- $95,000 per year; however, base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per California Senate Bill 1162.
