Patient Care Coordinator - Battle Creek, MI Location: Battle Creek, MI Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Healthcare / Patient Support About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and serviceoriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for patients, helping to ensure they receive exceptional support throughout their care journey. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, thrives in a fastpaced environment, and has strong communication and administrative skills. Work Schedule * Monday-Thursday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM * Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM This is an onsite position at a small prosthetics & orthotics clinic Key Responsibilities * Serve as the first point of contact for patients via phone, email, or in-person interactions * Schedule and confirm patient appointments * Coordinate referrals and communicate with medical providers as needed * Maintain accurate and confidential patient records * Verify insurance information and assist with authorization processes * Provide clear, empathetic support to patients and families regarding care plans and next steps * Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations * Assist with general office tasks, including data entry and documentation Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred * Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or scheduling strongly preferred * Strong organizational and multitasking abilities * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Comfort using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and standard office software * Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times * Compassionate, patientfocused mindset What We Offer * Competitive pay * Opportunities for growth and professional development * Supportive, teamoriented work environment * Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision) - if applicable * Paid time off and holidays - if applicable Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Battle Creek, MI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.15 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
