Lactalis US Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician II based in Casa Grande, Arizona.

The Maintenance Technician II role is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing processing and production equipment, along with distribution systems through a broad knowledge base of manufacturing skills in electrical, controls, and mechanical disciplines, involving work of varied nature with minimum supervision, resulting in efficient and reliable operation of plant facilities.

Full-time opportunity on Day Shift (06:00 AM to 06:30 PM) on a 2-2-3 rotation with every other weekend off.

Shift differentials for 2nd shift (10%). Overtime required during equipment breakdowns and scheduled maintenance events.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Operate, monitor, and repair plant utilities including boilers, hot water systems, compressed air, sanitary air, refrigeration, and water systems.
  • Troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues with dairy processing and packaging equipment.
  • Work with low- and high-voltage motors, motor starters, and control systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and complete required documentation accurately.
  • Assist equipment operators in identifying issues requiring shutdown or repair.
  • Support maintenance projects under direction of the Maintenance Manager or Planner.
  • Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components as needed.
  • Participate in improving departmental training materials (SOPs, OPLs, etc.).
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, emergency calls, and planned shutdowns.
  • Maintain safe, sanitary work conditions to uphold SQF and food safety standards.
  • Analyze problems and make sound troubleshooting decisions based on experience.

From your STORY to ours

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 -5 years of maintenance experience (manufacturing experience preferred).
  • Ability to disassemble/reassemble machinery per manufacturer specifications.
  • Basic working knowledge of: HVAC & refrigeration. Hydraulics and pneumatics. Boiler function and operation.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting pumps, valves, and packaging systems.
  • Ability to perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • TIG welding skills required.
  • Successful completion of the company's 12-week Maintenance Training Program.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
