WHAT YOU WILL DO The Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch operations of the company. They will be responsible for ensuring that all dispatching activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. This will include local Rental Store deliveries, branch to branch transfers, and Heavy Rents deliveries and transfers. The Dispatcher will report directly to the Dispatch Manager. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Communicating with customers and ensuring that their needs are met. Responsible for ensuring that all equipment is dispatched in a timely manner and that all equipment is returned in a timely manner. Ensure the dispatch activities follow all company policies and procedures. Manager employee workload to ensure all shifts are covered. Always works safely and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. May have to lift up to 25-30 pounds on occasion. May work in an environment where hazards are present. Requires frequent hand use for typing, operating the phone, handling materials, and other job-related tasks. Other duties as assigned. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Knowledge or experience within the rental industry Previous dispatching experience Experience representing industry leading high-value, high-tech construction, and earthmoving machinery KNOWLEDGE, TECHNICAL SKILL, & ABILITIES Strong business acumen Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to stay well organized WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU At Thompson Machinery, we believe that great benefits are more than just perks- they're essential for employee well-being and success.
