Quality Technician (Distribution Center) - 1st Shift

nVent is seeking a Quality Technician to support day-to-day quality activities within our Distribution Center in Dayton, MN. This handson role is responsible for performing inspections, audits, and quality checks to ensure products and shipments meet established standards. You'll work closely with Distribution and Logistics teams to help prevent issues and support continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Perform inbound and outbound inspections and freight audits
  • Monitor quality performance across receiving, warehousing, and shipping processes
  • Collect and enter quality data; support routine KPI reporting
  • Assist with containment activities and corrective actions
  • Support calibration activities and employee training on quality standards
  • Assist with training Distribution Center employees on quality standards, procedures, and expectations.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 1+ year of experience in quality, warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and basic math/measurement skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment
  • Comfortable using computer programs to enter and review data
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Ability to follow established quality systems, procedures, and safety requirements

Pay Transparency

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Compensation Range:

$17.20 - $31.90 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
