Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Fabrication Supervisor leads daily operations within the fabrication and stamping departments, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role supervises personnel, oversees CNC fabrication processes, and ensures production schedules and customer requirements are met. The position drives continuous improvement, supports employee development, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain safety, quality, and operational standards.


  • Oversee all departmental operations, including CNC programming and fabrication processes.
  • Accountable for meeting production schedules and delivery deadlines.
  • Supervises employees, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and wage recommendations.
  • Manages equipment, staffing, scheduling, and departmental resources.
  • Responsible for maintaining production standards related to safety, quality, and cost.
  • * Supervise and coordinate daily operations of fabrication and stamping departments.
  • * Ensure employees are properly trained, follow safety procedures, and work in a hazard-free environment.
  • * Develop and maintain staffing schedules, including contingency planning for absences.
  • * Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and Value Stream leadership to meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • * Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time delivery to customers.
  • * Track performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • * Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • * Oversee employee performance, training, work assignments, and issue resolution, including payroll timekeeping.
  • * Maintain compliance with company policies and operating procedures.
  • * Assist with resolving manufacturing challenges, including tooling and drawing interpretation.
  • * Manage inventory control processes and ensure accurate material usage.
  • * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • * Determine tooling needs and optimize job sequencing for efficiency.
  • * Promote cross-training to ensure workforce flexibility.
  • * Support plant coverage needs, including off-shift or weekend supervision as required.
  • * Perform additional duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and manage schedules effectively.
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability with solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence a team.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Working knowledge of CNC fabrication equipment and basic programming concepts.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical documents.
  • Solid math skills, including precision measurement using tools such as tape measures, calipers, and protractors.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems (EPICOR preferred).
  • Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards preferred


Education and Experience


  • Minimum of eight (4) years of diverse fabrication experience in a metal manufacturing environment.
  • At least five (5) years of leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
