The Senior Manager, IT Application Delivery plays a critical role in turning business strategy into reliable, scalable technology solutions. You'll lead agile teams delivering highimpact application outcomes across a complex portfolio, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and aligned to business goals.
As a trusted partner to business and IT leaders, you'll balance delivery tradeoffs, guide priorities, and operate with a high degree of autonomy while sharing accountability for results. You'll oversee the evolution of core application platforms, including SAP and integrated solutions, lead a Solution Architect, and translate strategy into actionable delivery and operational plans-while upholding strong governance and change standards.

What You Do. Leadership, Strategy & Portfolio Ownership
- Own and lead application delivery across a broad, complex portfolio-aligning execution tightly with business and IT strategy.
- Turn strategy into clear, actionable delivery and operational plans that drive measurable outcomes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leaders, guiding priorities, sequencing work, and navigating trade offs with confidence.
Agile Delivery & Operational Excellence
- Lead high performing agile delivery teams with a focus on outcomes, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Share accountability for results while balancing delivery commitments, risk, and operational health.
- Ensure consistent, reliable operations across applications-including availability, performance, security, and support.
- Proactively identify systemic challenges and resolve issues before they escalate beyond your scope.
SAP & Enterprise Application Leadership
- Provide leadership across SAP and integrated enterprise platforms, protecting long term investments while meeting evolving business needs.
- Stay ahead of platform roadmaps and upgrades, guiding thoughtful, well planned evolution.
- Evaluate changes through the lens of risk, resilience, and long term impact.
Solution Architecture Partnership
- Lead and support the Solution Architect, ensuring architectural decisions enable delivery success and align with enterprise standards.
- Ensure architecture decisions are clearly documented and consistently applied.
- Partner with enterprise architecture leaders on cross domain dependencies and exceptions.
Risk, Controls & Governance
- Balance delivery speed with smart risk management across operational and strategic decisions.
- Ensure adherence to governance, security, compliance, and recoverability standards.
Financial & Vendor Leadership
- Contribute to resource planning and budget management across your portfolio.
- Guide vendor performance to ensure service delivery supports business outcomes.
People Leadership & Development
- Develop talent beyond today's needs-building capability, leadership readiness, and continuity.
- Foster a culture of accountability, growth, and strong leadership behaviors.
- Support development planning aligned to organizational values and future needs.
Leadership Scope
You may directly lead professional staff, including a Solution Architect, with responsibilities spanning hiring, coaching, performance management, development planning, and corrective action. Your Education and Experience. Professional Knowledge & Competencies
- Strong communication and influence skills with both technical and non technical audiences.
- Broad understanding of enterprise application delivery and operational excellence.
- Sound judgment in complex decision making, balancing outcomes and risk.
- Experience leading teams in agile delivery environments.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of IT and business experience, including 5+ years delivering enterprise application solutions (ERP/SAP strongly preferred).
- 5+ years leading teams and influencing senior leaders and key stakeholders.
- Experience managing resources across multiple initiatives; SAFe experience is a plus.
