The Challenge

We are seeking a Product Management leader to drive vision, strategy and execution around the Adobe Intelligence Platform (AIP- our initiative to build the platform experiences needed for Adobe engineers as they build seamlessly integrated AI-first application and experiences.

A strong philosophical grounding is necessary, derived from practical hands-on experience as well as extensive research and curiosity about how the best companies in the world are solving these problems today, both in terms of culture and technology. Impatience in this case is a virtue - you will need a bias towards action and experimentation, to iterate with teams and constantly evolve our tools and approach. You will be given the mandate to help define our strategy in DevOps tooling and processes and to implement it broadly.

What you'll do
  • Act as the overall product leader for the Adobe Intelligence Platform offering.

  • Decide on the boundaries of what problems we will solve with Adobe Intelligence Platform and communicate that position to executive stakeholders.

  • Partner with other Product and Engineering leaders across the company to understand their requirements from our platform for AI Engineering and form a roadmap which will make them successful.

  • Lead the creation of requirements documents laying out the product requirements for AIP and it's constituent services and systems.

  • Mentor and guide members of a high performing product management team.

  • Work in a fast-passed environment with distributed teams and inter-dependent services

  • Partner with other teams across Adobe for achieving these common goals

What you need to succeed
  • 14+ years of progressive experience architecting open source & enterprise software

  • Extensive experience building and delivering large-scale distributed systems

  • Up to date on current and cutting-edge practices and emerging concepts in CI/CD landscape

  • Experience in automating Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery at scale

  • Experience with Docker, microservices, containerized deployment and service orchestration

  • Experience with canary and blue-green deployment strategies to reduce downtime and risk

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet and Chef

  • Experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Cloud Formation)

  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting principles and tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Thanos, Zabbix. New Relic, Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.

  • Deep understanding of DevOps concepts like SLAs, SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, MTTR, MTTD, etc.

  • Strong commitment to customer service and developer enablement.

  • Effectively communicate with product managers, developers and site reliability engineers.

  • PhD/MS/BS in Computer Science helpful but not required

  • Recognized contributor to Open Source eco-system for big data projects highly desired

  • Bonus if you are a Committer or PMC Member with the Apache Software Foundation or Cloud Native Computing Framework on big data technologies, such as: Kubernetes, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Kafka, Drill, Atlas, Impala, Taz, etc.

  • Management and leadership experience a plus

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $190,400 -- $397,250 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $255,500 - $397,250

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
