About the Role

We are seeking an Operator 3, Bakery Production/Packing (Day Off Relief) to join our team at our Hazleton, PA bakery. As an Operator 3, you will be accountable for providing full relief coverage across all Production and Packing positions, ensuring smooth operations during employee absences. This role is vital to maintaining efficient line performance, minimizing downtime, supporting communication across teams, and ensuring all products meet company, customer, and quality standards.

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 1st
• Hours: 6AM - 2:30PM
• Weekend availability: Required (based on production needs)

Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)

• Provide relief coverage for all Production and Packing roles to support uninterrupted operations
• Communicate line status changes (startups, changeovers, shutdowns) across teams to maintain workflow efficiency
• Support operators and mixers by troubleshooting minor issues and escalating larger concerns appropriately
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas while upholding GMPs and foodsafety standards
• Verify ingredient information, settings, line speeds, and equipment readiness to ensure product quality
• Train new employees, temporary staff, and relief operators to support capability building
• Contribute to teambased problem solving, planning, and efficient daily production execution

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)
• Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math and timekeeping
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as walking, bending, climbing, or handling frozen items
• Ability to work safely in loud, hot, cold, or dusty bakery environments
• Ability to make logical decisions and communicate effectively with crossfunctional teams

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

• Previous experience in a foodmanufacturing facility
• Familiarity with production line equipment and startup/shutdown processes
• Experience coordinating with Maintenance, QA, Sanitation, or Shipping
• Ability to train others and assist in troubleshooting production line issues
