Job Title: Training Coordinator Location: Lakeland Reports to: Operations Supervisor Position: Permanent (2) & Rotational (2) Pay: $28.35 Position Summary: The Training Coordinator will be a key resource in driving employee development and operational excellence on the manufacturing floor. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating hands-on training activities, ensuring employees gain the technical skills, safety knowledge, and process understanding required for success in their roles. Working closely with the Training Manager, department supervisors, and floor leads, the Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all training on their respective shifts. The Training Coordinator will serve as the primary point of contact for on-the-job training, compliance tracking, training documentation, qualifications, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position will also assist in the administration and delivery of training programs to ensure that employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively. This role will play a crucial role in supporting the training and development initiatives within our manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver floor-level training sessions for new hires and existing employees, focusing on technical skills, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures. Maintain a strong daily presence on the production floor to observe performance, reinforce best practices, and provide immediate coaching. Serve as the primary floor trainer, delivering hands-on, step-by-step instruction and ensuring adherence to SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards. Assist in the development of training materials for hands-on learning, including job aids, visual guides, and quick-reference tools. Including the implementation of Redzone learning and platform. Assist in the development of job-specific skill and knowledge qualification assessments for all positions on the manufacturing floor, partnering with supervisors and subject matter experts. Coordinate and facilitate Skill Qualification Panels (SME review teams) to evaluate employee readiness, ensuring fairness and alignment with competency standards. Ensure new hires receive structured on-the-job instruction through a standardized training progression that leads to full qualification. Act as a real-time coach and resource for employees during routine operations, providing guidance and support as issues arise. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate training into operational workflows and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Coordinate and schedule training programs-including technical skills, safety, compliance, and onboarding-while minimizing disruption to production. Liaise with department supervisors and trainers to identify training needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals and operational priorities. Coordinate and facilitate during training sessions, including preparing materials and troubleshooting technical issues. Communicate training session schedules, requirements, and updates to employees and supervisors to ensure participation and compliance. Serve as a subject matter expert for local training tools and platforms (e.g., Alchemy, Redzone) and assist employees with navigation and troubleshooting. Monitor compliance with safety and regulatory requirements and follow up with employees and supervisors to ensure timely completion. Maintain accurate training and qualification records in the LMS or other tracking tools, including attendance, completion status, and evaluation results. Partner with supervisors and team leads to identify skill gaps and prioritize training initiatives based on production needs and quality standards. Evaluate training effectiveness through observations, assessments, surveys, and performance metrics; compile data for reporting and continuous improvement. Uphold company policies and standards related to training, safety, quality, and ethical conduct at all times. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in training coordination or technical role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment. At least 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with employees at all levels of the organization. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning management systems (LMS) or other training software. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team. Customer service orientation, with a proactive approach to meeting the needs of internal stakeholders. Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate changing priorities and evolving business requirements. Ability and flexibility to flex shift and hours when required. Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development, with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety regulations is a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry training materials and equipment as needed. Ability to travel occasionally for training-related activities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
