Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Classification: Non-exempt, hourly

Rate of Pay: $28.50/hr

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Description: The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the warehouse under the general direction of the Operations Manager. This position is responsible for efficient receiving procedures and accurate issues to operational departments via requisition process.

Essential Functions

Receiving Functions- oversight of receiving processes and vendor relations.

  • Serve as primary contact for vendors delivering ordered products to the facility.
  • Checks received product against order sheet to ensure accuracy and examines received product for quality.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding any discrepancies, damaged product and other issues that may result in refusal to accept delivery.
  • Maintains strong working relationships with vendors, serving as liaison to resolve issues and replace products as needed on a timely basis.


Issuance Functions- supports operations by providing needed products.

  • Communicate with all internal departments to ensure requests are filled correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Carefully reviews requisitions to pull correct product and quantities and oversees the Warehouse Clerk in performance of those duties.


Inventory Functions- supports purchasing by actively managing inventory to ensure adequate supply for operational needs.

  • Conduct physical inventory of the warehouse in accordance with schedules.
  • Complete required inventory sheets for purchaser and operations management.


Sanitation and Cleanliness Functions- adhere to all Food Safety & Quality standards.

  • Ensure all products are properly stored in compliance with food safety regulations and for inventory purposes.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of warehouse area and proper removal of trash.


Skills and Qualifications: Two to three years of related warehouse or related retail experience with inventory responsibility. The ability to understand, read, communicate and write in the English language is required along with basic math skills. The ability to utilize a computer and related software systems is required with emphasis on Microsoft Office products Word and Excel. The ability to operate efficiently through hands-on leadership is required to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment structured around strict timelines.

This position has supervisory responsibilities, coordinating daily work tasks for the Warehouse Clerk and monitoring progress to ensure satisfactory completion of assignments.

This role will lift/carry/transport some heavy materials with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision .

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work


This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work may vary depending on the needs of the business. Must be willing to work any shift or days off as leadership assigns.
