A success coach provides high-level support, coordination and guidance and related student services for UCF Online students from the time of admission through graduation.

Student Coaching Professionals utilize coaching methodologies and case management strategies to provide comprehensive and personalized support that promotes students' self-advocacy, progress, and successful completion of educational goals.

The Opportunity:

UCF's Online Connect Center is seeking a motivated partner to join our staff as a Peer Success Coach supporting UCF's online undergraduate students. This parttime (30 hours per week) position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with professional coaching staff while making a meaningful impact on student success. As a Peer Success Coach, you will support and empower UCF Online students throughout their academic journey by advocating to locate resources and create effective strategies to ensure their success using UCF's coaching methodologies alongside your own experiences and strengths.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Support students through a coaching and case management model to impact student success and encourage timely degree completion.

  • Implement proactive outreach services, provide students with holistic support, develop plans for student success, and empower students to advocate for themselves.

  • Work closely with the professional coaching staff and University departments, serving as a liaison to students to provide information on resources and guidance to make informed decisions.

  • Document student interactions, academic concerns, and support plans in detail using myKnight STAR.

  • Conduct follow-ups and monitor student progress to ensure ongoing support.

  • Support students in navigating key campus resources (e.g., SARC, Writing Center, Library Services, Career Services) that align with their objectives.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (e.g., MS Word and Excel).

  • Familiarity with desktop agent software (e.g., Finesse and Cisco Unified Call Center).

  • Experience utilizing a CRM system (myKnight STAR, SalesForce or similar) to manage student, client, or customer interactions.

  • Call center and/or customer service background.

  • Prospective student recruitment experience.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking skills, and a high level of attention to detail.

  • Ability to work well with others and perform duties with a high degree of integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to professional ethical standards.

  • Ability to work under pressure of deadlines, goals, and/or time limitations.

  • Independent judgment and decision-making skills when assisting students.

Work Schedule: This is a parttime position averaging 30 hours per week, scheduled within the Online Connect Center's hours of operation. Shifts may be scheduled Monday-Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
