Job Summary


The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and conducting testing throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with quality and reliability standards. This role involves evaluating raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, as well as maintaining accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvement efforts. The position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments to uphold quality standards.

Job Responsibilities



  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine quality standards
  • Perform dimensional inspections of raw materials, finished parts, and tooling using measuring instruments
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and performance
  • Select and test products at various production stages for compliance with specifications
  • Record and maintain inspection data, logs, and documentation for all inspected materials
  • Identify non-conforming products and recommend corrective actions
  • Process quality documentation, including nonconformance reports and rework tags
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements
  • Perform receiving inspections and related testing activities
  • Utilize inspection tools, gauges, and testing equipment effectively
  • Communicate quality issues, trends, and findings to management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support quality improvements
  • Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members
  • Maintain regular attendance and support a safe and organized work environment


Job Requirements



  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, and technical documents
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to solve problems and work with varying levels of process standardization
  • Proficiency with manufacturing software, spreadsheets, and word processing tools
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and process improvement methodologies
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards


Work Experience



  • Experience in quality inspection, manufacturing, or a related field preferred
