Description

    Formatting, researching, writing, editing, and proofreading technical data for use in routine documents or sections of documents such as manuals, procedures, and specifications while following established procedures under general supervision
  • Ensuring technical documentation is accurate, complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style
  • Assisting in establishing style guidelines and standards for texts and illustrations and suggesting revisions to the guidelines and standards
  • Maintaining the style guide
  • Maintaining documentation in content or document management systems
  • Providing input to or update schedules to track document delivery milestones
  • Writing, editing, or reviewing proposals and/or marketing materials

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and three years of work-related experience, or a master's degree and one year work related experience in a relevant technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Performing work in this job's occupational field requires the application of craft, vocational or administrative skills, and methods taught in specialized training and/or learned through formal apprenticeships
  • In relation to other jobs in the same function, this position requires an intermediate level of proficiency to work on assignments of standard difficulty
