Summary of Role:
To provide operational support to the administrative functions of the title agency from the onset of real estate transactions until closing; work to ensure that service delivered to clients is consistent with the Top 10 Service Attributes of the Credit Union.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
Level 1
Answer phone calls from clients and handle inquiries as needed. Process policy applications from clients, locate back title when applicable, and place orders for search work with appropriate vendors. Responsible for typing and proofreading functions associated with title commitments and other documents as necessary. Process files for preclosing and provide closing packages to closer. Complete post-closing process on closed title files to ensure completeness of closing package in accordance with internal and external guidelines. Prepare and distribute Last Owner searches for Broadview Home Equity department. Stay informed of Credit Union products and services. Schedule closings, prepare title closing packages and deliver to closing agent for the closing in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Level 2
Must be proficient in all duties performed by a Title Agency Representative Level 1. Ensure payment and distribution of real estate taxes both paid at closing and held in escrow. Assist with and/or procure mortgage satisfactions, payoffs and clearance of title objections for real estate closing files. Ensure that office supplies are in stock, process supply orders as necessary. Direct workflow and functionality of the office in the absence of the Director. Work directly and deliver appropriate reports to Accounting to ensure transaction and records are consistent with policy. Assist with audits and collection of audit materials and payment of underwriter remittances. Assist Director in making check deposits.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
High school diploma with one (1) to three (3) years of related experience. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, and PDF software applications. Excellent oral, written, and auditory communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Acute attention to detail. Strong multi-tasking and project planning skills.
Starting Compensation:$22.62 - $27.15/hr., plus a competitive benefits package Bilingual individuals who are fluent in a second language in addition to English are highly encouraged to apply.
