Hourly Pay Range: $11.23 - $16.82

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the McKinley Marina to ensure a safe environment and quality services, facilities, and amenities. Shifts vary between 7am to 3pm, 3pm to 11pm, and 11pm to 7am.



Essential Responsibilities:



  • Work at the marina for varied shifts, help guests with general marina duties, sell boat launch permits, sell and pump gas, and deliver ice to docks.
  • Record sales in the point-of-sale system and follow cash handling guidelines set forth by Milwaukee County.
  • Maintain parks, facilities, and amenities including, but not limited to, push mowing, rental facility cleaning and prep, cleaning, shoveling, debris removal, weeding, pruning, planting and watering trees, and patrolling docks.
  • Complete park permits, attendance reports, logs, cash reports, and deposit slips.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.



Minimum Requirements:



  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • At least 16 years of age at the time of application.
  • Able to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 25 lbs.



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Customer Service experience.
  • Computer experience.



NOTE: This original application is open to permanent residents of the United States. Appointee must establish residency in the state of Wisconsin within six months of start date and maintain such residency during incumbency. In accordance with Section 11, Rule 3 of the Civil Service Rules a non-competitive examination will be held for this position. The non-competitive examination will consist of criteria deemed appropriate by the Director of Human Resources.
