Title: Customer Fulfillment Director
Location: East Alton, IL

Salary: $198,000 - $206,400
Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday

Focus: This role ensures the efficient and safe storage, shipping, and fulfillment of materials and finished goods, driving excellence in operational performance, service reliability, and cost optimization. Position oversees the Distribution Center, Customer Service, and Logistics, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability aligned with Olin Winchester's strategic supply chain goals.

Customer Fulfillment Director Essential Functions:

  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure robust training by conducting weekly safety topic meetings and monthly audits.
  • Daily creation of items such as reports, calculating shipping metrics, and orders within the Blue Yonder Warehouse Management System (BYWMS).
  • Determine resolution with inventory discrepancy management within SAP and BYWMS.
  • Coordinate accurate receipt of finished goods inventory with manufacturing and outside vendors.
  • Complete annual cycle count program by researching monthly adjustments to determine root cause and program completion by year-end.
  • Lead the Distribution Center cost savings team to reduce supplies and review process improvement projects.
  • Partner cross-functionally with logistics, customer service, sales, marketing, finance, safety, quality, engineering, purchasing, operations, IT, maintenance, and transportation to ensure the end-to-end supply chain is efficient.
  • Responsible for the monthly management of shipments to achieve Winchester's financial goals while satisfying customer requirements.
  • Manage and provide a monthly financial forecast of expenditure for five departments.
  • Business process owner for creating/testing new processes, approving requests, monthly/quarterly/annual audit reviews, approvals for BYWMS, etc.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs for equipment, offices, and special projects within Distribution.
  • Work closely with employees, scheduling work assignments and resolving daily requests. Maintain good employee relations by promptly resolving union and employee concerns.

Customer Fulfillment Director Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree*; Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum ten years of Distribution Center Logistics Management experience; related work within a fast-paced manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to drive strategic initiatives while managing daily operational performance.
  • Flexibility, innovation, and the ability to manage staff, responsibilities, and priorities in a fast-paced and time-critical environment.
  • MS Office experience; Warehouse Management System and SAP experience preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, evenings, and weekends.

Location-Specific Requirements:

  • This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
