The Opportunity

The purpose of this role is to lead and drive sales, business development, and operational activities within QBE's A&H division, ensuring growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders while maintaining a professional market presence. Additionally, it includes responsibility for the strategic growth and development of the Wholesale Broker and Agency segments, ensuring alignment with company targets.

We are open to VP or Lead level candidates.

* Location: Houston, TX - San Antonio, TX - Austin, TX - Dallas, TX

* Work Arrangement: hybrid working expectations

* The starting salary for this role is between $180,000.00 and $270,000.00

Your new role

  • Drive business unit engagement of national and local initiatives to ensure profitable growth.

  • Support the implementation of strategies to drive new business and deliver rate and retention targets.

  • Develop and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver on regional business goals.

  • Build strategic relationships with key agents/brokers to foster business growth and meet profitability goals.

  • Achieve agent/broker engagement by educating and implementing best practice broker-specific compensation strategies.

  • Provide subject matter expertise during client business reviews to ensure services align with client needs.

  • Execute effective account development and customer relationship management initiatives.

  • Forecast sales activity and pipeline to meet revenue targets.

  • Optimize book of business by effectively communicating benefits of partnering with the organization.

Work Experience:

Necessary Work Experience includes:

  • Significant relevant experience in operational management experience in senior roles within the insurance industry.

  • Significant project, program, and change management experience.

  • In-depth experience of market analysis and development planning.

Preferred Work Experience includes:

  • Experience in leading successful initiatives.

  • Experience driving strategic organizational change, including cultural improvements.

  • Experience in negotiating, building, and managing strategic partnerships.

  • Managing operations/infrastructure and business systems development and support.

  • Proven success in delivery management resulting in customer, operational, and financial benefits.

  • Experience within underwriting or Finance discipline.

  • Strategy and planning in large complex organizations.

  • Experience in managing Agents' relationship and business development with financial institutions.

  • Experience of Digital distribution.

  • Experience of achievement through innovation and customer segmentation in mature markets.

  • Experience within customer service/sales environment.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Ability to satisfy regulatory competence requirements for the relevant regulator.

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. This is the national range for location(s) listed. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.We encourage all candidates to apply, even if their salary expectations fall outside of this range, as we are committed to finding the right fit for our team.
