Description JOB PURPOSE: The Clinician will provide treatment to eligible U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) employees and their families who have mental health needs and/or mental illness. They will be proficient in stress management and resilience-building interventions, understanding of occupational stress unique to law enforcement, veterans and their families and familiarity with evidence-based approaches for trauma and family systems. The Clinician will provide support to clients to include referrals, scheduling appointments, continuity of care and access to appropriate services Qualifications Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Master's Degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2+ years of experience providing counseling services, including graduate-level internship experience, isrequired. Must hold a current, independent California license to practice (LPC, LMFT, or LCSW). Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families isrequiredbased on program needs. Knowledge of DSM-5-TR (or latest edition), including PTSD diagnosis and treatment, isrequired. Ability to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 1 month of employment isrequired. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver'sLicense withclear record.Have a current California Advanced-Level license to practice psychology, social work,or counseling.LPC,LCSW,or LMFTrequired. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Employee should expect to work one evening a week to accommodate the schedules of the clients being served.
