Program Assistant Technology and International Affairs The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a unique global network of policy research centers, is seeking a program assistant to work with scholars in its DC-based Technology and International Affairs program. The program assistant will play a central coordinating role in the Technology and International Affairs program's operations. This includes events planning, external communications, project management, finance and development, and scheduling. They will serve as the program's liaison with Carnegie's global centers, other Carnegie research programs, and non-research departments within the DC office such as communications and development. Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's degree and up to one year of related experience. Candidates should be able to balance multiple competing tasks and manage tight deadlines, and must possess a high degree of reliability, attention to detail, and a can-do attitude marked by flexibility and cooperation. Candidates should also possess people skills and comfort working with senior officials from governments, industry, and civil society. Passion for technology and/or international affairs issues, for example, cybersecurity, cloud, machine learning and artificial intelligence, biotechnology, or space--is a plus. This is an excellent entry level opportunity for an energetic individual interested in Carnegie's mission. Located in Dupont Circle, we offer an outstanding work environment and generous benefits, including health insurance. The anticipated salary range for this position is $48,000-$50,000. Please note that this position will operate on a hybrid basis, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Events may require working outside of standard office hours.
