Job Purpose

The New England Electric Contract Administration & Performance (Engineering) team monitors, supports, and evaluates Master Service Agreement (MSA) performance and contractual relationships for outsourced electric engineering and design contracts for National Grid.

Key Accountabilities
  • Support MSA Engineering and Design contract compliance, interpretation, monitoring, performance and related systems and data analysis to ensure the annual electric capital construction workplan assigned to contracted resources is effectively delivered.
  • Support relationships with external contractors along with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Procurement, Engineering/Design, Program/Project Management, project teams, and Construction.
  • Support development and review of MSA framework contract RFPs. Develop, refine, and monitor KPIs. Review contracts and specifications for updates.
  • Support MSA contract issues and escalations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, address concerns and present findings to stakeholders both internal and external for Transmission, Distribution Planning, Substation, Protection, and Distribution Design categories of work.
  • Support National Grid restoration efforts during weather events.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is required; an engineering degree is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience working with engineering/design contracts, construction management, project management or engineering required
  • Experience within the electric utility industry preferred
  • 5+ years of experience developing new programs and leading strategic efforts required
  • 2+ years of experience making presentations to upper management preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in SAP/Ariba Guided Buying preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in PowerPlan preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Power BI, MS Teams, SharePoint, Power Point, Excel and Word required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Ability to perform storm duty support outside of regular working hours

Salary

$102,000 - $119,000 a year
