What We Do

Dynamic Ratings is an ISO-certified company dedicated to providing monitoring, control, and communication solutions for our customers in the utility industry. We provide condition-based monitoring products and services to reduce outages, increase safety, and gain visibility of electrical equipment throughout the power grid, serving industries and communities worldwide.

The Role

We are seeking a UX Product Manager to own the user experience and product direction of our electrical monitoring software platforms and related digital experiences, including our company website. This role combines UX leadership with product management accountability, ensuring that our software products are intuitive, effective, and aligned with both customer needs and business goals.

You will be responsible for defining what we build and how it is experienced-from core monitoring and analytics software to customer-facing web experiences. This role works closely with software engineering, product management, sales, and customer-facing teams to translate complex technical capabilities into usable, coherent, and valuable products.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in technically complex domains and enjoys shaping products through deep user understanding, strong design judgment, and practical product ownership.

What You'll Do

UX Strategy & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end user experience across all software products, including desktop, web, and browser-based applications.
  • Define and evolve UX principles, interaction patterns, and visual standards for data-rich, technically complex applications.
  • Lead user research activities such as customer interviews, usability testing, workflow analysis, and field feedback synthesis.
  • Translate user needs and technical requirements into clear user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications.
  • Establish and maintain a design system to ensure consistency across software products and digital platforms.

Product Management

  • Act as product owner for assigned product lines, owning features from concept through release.
  • Contribute to product vision, roadmaps, and prioritization decisions in collaboration with Product Management, Sales and Engineering.
  • Define and maintain product and UX requirements that clearly communicate intent, scope, and success criteria.
  • Balance usability, performance, technical constraints, and business priorities in day-to-day product decisions.
  • Partner with engineering teams throughout development to ensure designs are implemented accurately and effectively.

Website & Digital Experience Ownership

  • Own the UX and usability of the company website, ensuring it clearly communicates product value and supports customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical stakeholders to align website experience with software capabilities and brand positioning.
  • Apply consistent UX principles and visual standards across the website and product experiences.
  • Use analytics and user feedback to continuously improve website usability and effectiveness.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with software engineering teams to ensure designs are feasible, well-specified, and implemented as intended.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Applications, and Customer Support to incorporate real-world customer feedback into product improvements.
  • Review implemented builds and releases to validate UX quality, not just design artifacts.
  • Act as a UX and product advocate in planning, prioritization, and technical discussions.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in UX design, product design, or product management for software products.
  • Demonstrated experience working on complex, data-driven, or technical software systems.
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design practices and how to apply them in constraint-driven environments.
  • Experience owning product features or products from discovery through delivery.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain design and product decisions to diverse stakeholders.
