Teradata Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Teradata Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role will focus on developing, enhancing, and maintaining applications within Financial Crimes technology. The ideal candidate will work closely with business partners to define requirements, design, code, and test programs, utilizing in-depth knowledge to recommend innovations and provide direction from a data perspective through the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop complex requirements for enhancing, modifying, and maintaining applications to accomplish business goals
• Design, code, test, debug, and document programs and support activities for application maintenance
• Contribute to story refinement, define requirements, and estimate work necessary to realize a story
• Perform proof of concepts as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Set up and automate the continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
• Handle technical aspects of the application, including Change Management, Maintenance, and Platform Upgrades
• Partner with the business to develop plans, including ongoing success measures, to sustain change
• Analyze present-state, develop alternative future-state approaches, and facilitate implementation

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or any quantitative discipline
• 10+ years of applicable experience
• Experience in Teradata 16.x, SQL/BTEQ scripting, TPT, Informatica 10.x, UNIX Shell scripting, and Autosys
• Experience with Cloudera CDP, Hadoop (Hive, Impala, PySpark, Scala) and Data analysis
• Strong data sourcing, data modeling, and provisioning skills to support large scale AML monitoring and surveillance data assets
• Experience with database intensive development, data migrations, and conversions
• Knowledge and experience working with SQL performance tuning
• Good experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) with tools like Jira, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
• Good knowledge of Unix and development of shell scripts
• Effective communication and listening skills

Desired skills:

• Business knowledge in financial domains related to Anti-Money Laundering and Financial Crimes

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
