OVERVIEW

Sugar Farms Co-op is searching for experienced Mechanics. The candidate should have a Class E driver's license and clean driving history. They must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Specific skills include repairing various types of equipment used throughout the farm, good troubleshooting skills, maintaining accurate records and inputting them daily in a digital time sheet. Candidate must be able to follow all OSHA safety regulations as well as company policies and safety standards.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to read, speak and write English and/or Spanish
• Ability to work with others and/or alone with minimum supervision
• Ability to follow instructions and communicate information pertaining to the job
• Ability to perform job functions such as; Heavy lifting, climbing and squatting, diagnose and repair implements used on the farm, use oxygen/acetylene torch, perform daily service and adjustments, remove and install components such as: hoses, blades, cables, hydraulic motors etc.
• Capable of obtaining forklift certification within 30 days
• Ability to follow proper safety and housekeeping procedures pertaining to the area
• Furnish basic hand tools pertaining to the job
• Ability to work the posted scheduled and unscheduled hours as necessary

WORK EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

• Pass a background check
• Must be able to pass a physical and drug screening
• Must have at least 3 years of experience with clean driving record
• Must pass B - Grade Mechanic Test

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma preferred but not required
• Possess a valid driver's license Class E or above
