Chromalloy is seeking an experienced MRB Engineer to provide critical engineering judgment in support of aerospace and industrial gas turbine manufacturing. This role is responsible for the technical evaluation and disposition of nonconforming hardware, ensuring product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review and disposition nonconforming hardware through the Material Review Board (MRB) process.
  • Lead and participate in crossfunctional MRB reviews with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.
  • Assess the impact of deviations on product performance, safety, and reliability.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams.
  • Document MRB decisions in compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring nonconformances.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that improve quality and operational performance.
  • Maintain compliance with IPM/QPM, ISO9000, 5S, safety, and ethical standards.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, or Chemical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in aerospace or industrial gas turbine manufacturing, repair, or engineering support.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, materials, and aerospace engineering principles.
  • Experience with hotsection engine components preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies a plus.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and crossfunctional collaboration skills.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
