Project Manager - Network Infrastructure & Structured Cabling

Atlanta, GA

Join Next Level Technician as a Project Manager (PM) in Atlanta, GA! Earn $80,000-$110,000 annually, plus benefits, while leading the delivery of network infrastructure and structured cabling projects. This role is responsible for overseeing project planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating with field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution

  • Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage network infrastructure and structured cabling projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and delivery timelines
  • Ensure projects meet schedule, cost, quality, safety, and functionality requirements
  • Lead conceptual project development, estimating, scheduling, and project implementation
  • Evaluate materials and construction methods for feasibility and constructability during preconstruction
  • Develop and manage project cost estimates and support value engineering initiatives


Operations & Site Management

  • Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, field technicians, and subcontractors
  • Determine labor requirements and manage technician scheduling across job sites
  • Oversee travel logistics and workforce coordination for project teams
  • Conduct jobsite visits and inspections to ensure compliance with codes, specifications, and safety standards
  • Provide on-site leadership and support during key phases of project execution


Financial & Contract Management

  • Manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasts
  • Prepare and submit project budgets, progress reports, and cost reporting
  • Oversee client invoicing, cost postings, and project financial reconciliation
  • Manage contract administration including change orders, scope revisions, and contract negotiations
  • Review job cost postings to ensure accuracy and alignment with project financials


Procurement & Logistics

  • Oversee equipment and material procurement and bill of materials development
  • Coordinate with purchasing teams and suppliers to maintain project schedules
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractors and vendors to support project needs


Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Implement and enforce quality control standards and project management processes
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental programs across project sites
  • Lead investigations related to site issues, delays, incidents, or project risks


Client & Team Leadership

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the company, clients, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams
  • Lead client meetings and manage project communication and expectations
  • Provide proactive updates on project status, risks, and corrective actions
  • Mentor and support development of field teams and junior project staff


Reporting & Process Management

  • Maintain project schedules, financial plans, and documentation in accordance with company standards
  • Complete weekly and monthly project reporting, forecasts, and updates
  • Support implementation of internal project management standards and best practices


Requirements

  • 3-7+ years of experience of leading/managing data center, or structured cabling projects
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and field teams simultaneously


Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience with contract negotiation and administration
  2. PMP certification or equivalent project management credential (Not Required)
  3. BICSI RCDD or telecommunications certifications (Not Required)
