Job Description




As a Security Officer - Driver Rover Patrol in Lancaster, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as College Campuses, and more. Join Allied Universal at a College Campus as an unarmed Patrol Officer, conducting routine foot and vehicle patrols, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assisting employees and visitors with professional customer service. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and support incident response with integrity and teamwork. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license meeting AU Driver Policy Requirements, in a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff and visitors at a government location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting issues through the established chain of communication.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, checking identification as required, and documenting visitor activity according to site procedures.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrol activities, and/or unusual conditions, and communicate observations to site contacts as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
