Job Description Summary:
Position Overview: The Graduate School of Education & Human Development ( GSEHD) at The George Washington University is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Administrative Associate to provide high-level administrative support to Dr. Feuer, Professor of Education and former Dean. This is a part-time temporary position (15- 20 hours per week) funded by a Hewlett grant.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Calendar Management: Provide comprehensive support for the Principal Investigator's (PI) complex schedule, including prioritizing meetings and resolving scheduling conflicts.

  • Travel Coordination: Handle all aspects of domestic and international travel, including booking flights, hotel accommodations, and ground transportation.

  • Financial Administration: Prepare and submit detailed expense reports, assist with budgeting tasks, and ensure compliance.

  • Administrative Support: Manage various administrative tasks such as answering inquiries, maintaining files, and providing event and meeting support.

  • Liaison: Act as a professional point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Administrative Associate or in a similar high-level administrative role.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and budget tracking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
