Business Systems Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong background in business process optimization to join our IT consulting team. In this role, you will work closely with clients to analyze current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized, technology-enabled solutions that drive measurable business value. You will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with client stakeholders to understand business objectives, challenges, and existing processes
• Conduct current-state (AS-IS) and future-state (TO-BE) process analysis using industry-standard methodologies
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities across people, process, and technology
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather and validate business requirements
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements, including functional requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented
• Support process redesign, automation, and digital transformation initiatives (e.g., ERP, CRM, workflow tools)
• Assist in defining KPIs and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of optimized processes
• Support change management efforts, including documentation, training materials, and stakeholder communications
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), defect triage, and solution validation
• Provide consulting recommendations grounded in best practices and industry standards

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within an IT consulting or professional services environment
• Proven experience in business process analysis and optimization
• Strong understanding of process modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, swimlane diagrams, value stream mapping)
• Experience gathering and documenting requirements in Agile, hybrid, or Waterfall environments
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage multiple client priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
