What to Expect
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our cross-functional Cell Engineering team on the night shift. In this role, you will perform Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) analysis to support battery materials characterization, contributing to innovative solutions in energy storage technology. Your work will focus on sample preparation, SEM operation, andmaintaininga safe, efficient lab environment. Willingness to work a night shift schedule, such as 4:00PM to 12:00AM.
What You'll Do
- Operate SEM equipment to generate high-quality images and data, delivering actionable analysis results to the engineering team for informed decision-making
- Prepare cross-section samples bypotting, sectioning, and polishing with mechanical tools, ion milling, or other precisiontools
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams on failure analysis projects, providing insightsinto the microscopic observationsthatcandrive immediate product or process improvements
- Document sample preparation processes, analysis results, and observations in a clear, organized, andtimelymanner using standard reporting tools
- Support lab operations, including routine instrument maintenance, organizing workstations, restocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
- Identifyand report process or lab issues promptly, partnering with the team to develop and implement effective solutions
What You'll Bring
- Strong understanding of SEM and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) principles and applications

More than 1 year of hands-on experience operating SEM equipment and preparing cross-section samples via mechanical polishing, ion milling, or similar techniques -
Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field preferred - Proven experience handling hazardous chemicals safely, with adherence to lab safety standards
- Excellent manual dexterity and visual acuity for precise, detail-oriented sample preparation tasks

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
