What to Expect

As a Production Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing a shift of chemical operators at the Cathode Manufacturing Plant on a rotating shift schedule. Reporting to the Cathode Unit Lead, you will work closely with the operations team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant. Candidates must have a passion for employee development and enjoy the process of training and developing both new hires and veteran production staff.


What You'll Do
  • Execute on priorities & production plans provided by operations management & production engineers
  • Manage direct report's performance, vacation requests, time off requests & ensure appropriate shift coverage
  • Attend morning meeting and drive end of day activity completion as well as alarm review criteria for safety/ critical alarms
  • Attend weekly syncs with team members to drive accountability and understand ideas/ concerns throughout the different ranks of team
  • Generate/ update training materials, docs, and participate in TRB's. Including but not limited to practical assessments, DOA reviews, and panel questions. Develop & maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations
  • Identify & troubleshoot equipment & process issues to minimize downtime & improve productivity. Track Operator procedure usage, round completion, isolation statuses, permit effectiveness & proper closeout
  • Participate in incident investigations & root cause analyses as required

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a chemical or refinery operation
  • Strong leadership skills & the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, accompanied with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, as required
  • Proficient with MS office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Execute on priorities & production plans provided by operations management & production engineers as well as a strong knowledge of process control systems
  • Manage direct report's performance, vacation requests, time off requests & ensure appropriate shift coverage, enforce safety standards, enforce policies, environmental requirements
  • Lead and generate content for weekly meetings to address vulnerabilities, unplanned events, and new team updates, participate in audits
